Climbing
The Costa Blanca offers some of the best climbing routes in Europe. We are centrally located on the Costa Blanca, making most climbing routes within 1 hours reach.
Sella, being possibly the best location for all levels of climbers; offers over 300 routes and is only 40km away. Alcoy is on the doorstep, meaning you could be at the foot of the rock within 10 mins. However, the climbing in Alcoy is for the more experienced climber.
Gandia (40km) offers good climbs for all levels, with good South facing rocks. Meaning that you will get plenty of sunshine throughout the day in the fairer months.
Calpe is a little over an hours drive, but is well worth the travel. It has spectacular climbs, fantastic views and offers something for all climbing levels.
No climbing trip would be complete without a visit to Puig Campana which is located high above Finestrat. This is Costa Blanca's highest climb, with plenty of routes which should challenge all levels of climber.
Walking
The walking is primarily in the Sierra Mariolas, which is an extensive range with many marked routes crossing or circumventing the central plateau. There are other routes in the area on smaller ranges of hills. The walks vary in difficulty, and in length but all reward with spectacular views worthy of the effort.
There are countless walking routes within an hours radius, offering mountain and coastal views.
Guides for many walks are available.
Bikers
Forget wet potholed, badly maintainend roads and riding in the cold!!!
There are plenty of opportunities to get your knee down and make believe you are Rossi. The roads are well surfaced and make you feel safe, they twist and turn up and down through the mountains under brilliant blue skies.
Local highlights include La Carasquetta which is 1000 metres above the Mediteranian and looks down onto Alicante. It is a popular haunt for the locals - Box Hill on the Med!!!
The CV70 from Alcoy to Benidorm is another very popular route, with plenty of places to stop and take in the sights whilst meeting other bikers. The local biker community are very friendly.
If that's not enough, we have 3 circuits including Cheste at Valencia, all within approximately 1 hours riding that offer track days, and of course Moto GP's.
Fishing
The local lake Gaianes offers good fishing right on the doorstep. The lake is 5 mins away by car and has unlimited swims waiting to be discovered for anglers of all abilities. Big catches of Carp and Black Bass are common. The lake offers a tranquil atmosphere, but explosive action when a Carp is hooked.
The Orcheta Resevior is about an hour away and also offers good catches of Carp, most of which have not been caught before. Averaging in the region of 5-15lb.
Sea fishing is of course available all along the coasts of the Costa Blanca.
Golf
Most of the Golf Courses offer discounted rounds at certain times of the day in the summer months. There are also deals on buggy's available. This is obviously during the hottest part of the day so therefore the Golfer will need to take precautions against the sun and heat with sunscreen and plenty of water.
